Carbon fuels are the engine of prosperity and we have learned to use them without damage to the environment.
We have plenty of it and we can take all the time to find real alternatives that are able to provide us with the energy we need on a competitive basis, not a Government mandate.
You’re assessment about the political and economic objectives is spot on.
It has nothing to do with science but all about raw and unprecedented power, control over life and death.
People in the past never accepted tyranny over freedom so a bloodbath is evident if these fraudulent idiots get what they want.

Thanks Piers. Trying to convey the chicanery that goes on in the scientific world is like trying to explain that phlogiston did not exist or that the earth was at the centre of our universe. The entire issue of man-made climate change due to increased levels of cabon dioxide is based on the mirage of there being an atmospheric greenhouse effect, fed by greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. Until such time that this mirage is recognised for what it is, just like phlogistion, until that time will the climate alarm continue. Despite all the satellites and weather balloons, no atmospheric hot-spot has ever been found, despite it being predicted by the climate models and despite academia having the most elaborate formulae for it. It does not exist in reality because it can not exist in reality. Basic Laws of Thermodynamics show why is can not exist. Keep up the good fight and keep an eye on Mother Nature, she is about to plunge us into the fridge, if not the deep freeze.
