Welcome to the inaugural ‘Most Alarming Alarmism by an Alarmist’ Award.
Finalists were nominated by the loyal readers of The Daily Bayonet, and voting is now open.
Quotes are randomized and given without attribution (we’re looking for the daftest quote, not the biggest moonbat.)
The winner will receive full attribution and acclaim when the results are in.
Polls close December 17th at midnight PST and the winner will be announced December 18th.
Cast your vote below and remember to vote early, vote often. The poll is not scientific, in much the same way that global warming science isn’t.

[...] FYI, the latest Climategate Round-Up is here, and a Copenhagen Round-Up is here. The winner of the Most Alarming Alarmism by an Alarmist will be announced tomorrow, so if you haven’t voted yet, get to it. [...]
Good question, I don’t know. I’ll assume there is an ACORN element in the software, so let me know when your clicky finger falls off or the widget kicks you out, whichever is soonest.
How often can we vote?
[...] WARMING Weekly Round-Up, Dec. 10th, 2009; and “Select your favorite quote for the Inaugural Most Alarming Alarmism by an Alarmist Award” …. [...]
It’s all about the children *anguished look and tears streaming down heavily made up face – aka Jim and Tammy Faye Baker* The Children are the ones who will suffer! How can you be for killing children, you….you…you deniers?
Sorry Bob, but the polldaddy gadget is strictly first-past-the-post.
Can we change this to voting for the top 2, 3 or 5? I think you missed the COP15 breathless email indicating that global warming would increase earthquakes.
I was thinking how hard it would be to choose among all these quotes until I got to the last one. It seems to epitomize how out of touch so many alarmists are (though Gore’s “millions of degrees” is right up there, he makes stupid mistakes like that all the time).
