Rep. Ed Markey accuses the GOP of trying to destroy the Internet and the world because of its attempts to declaw the EPA and ongoing opposition to FCC regulation of the web.
‘…they take aim at Google Earth and set their sights on Mother Earth.’ No really:
..
Markey’s notion that GOP opposition to the FCC regulating the Internet will ‘destroy’ the blogosphere is exactly backwards. By linking his net neutrality misrepresentation with global warming, he makes fear the message. It has to be, because the science isn’t settled and Americans won’t buy the kool-aid, no matter how many times warmists repackage it.
Hippies claim there is no scaremongering in their message, it’s that the message is scary. Thanks to the near-hysterical Rep. Markey, I think we can put that lie to bed forever.

FCC regulating the Net. Doubleplus ungood. Have you a link to the proposed legislation, please?
“Net neutrality.” Isn’t that what they do to sexually offending basketball players?

Someday I’d like to hear Cap’n Trade and his Progressive Pirates explain WHY Republicans want to “shut down the internet” and poison Auntie Gaia. Try as I might I can’t imagine a plausible reason for either one.
Didn’t these *snip* hippies just say the INTERNET is destroying the world anyways? That was last week.
