It is irrelevant how long we have to sit idle between Guns N’ Roses records, the demand remains the same all the time. It even increases, minds you.
The time wasted between 1993’s “The Spaghetti Incident?” and 2008’s ‘Chinese Democracy’ is a story we all can tell our grandkids.
Following that, the stop between 2008 and whatever the biggest point in the future we’ll get a new release of new studio material is no big deal for a fanbase that’s had to build up a certain amount of patience and calmness over the years.

Given the extremely expansive (not to mention, at $14 million, expensive) recording process fans could have been allowed for expecting ‘Chinese Democracy’ to be weird and messy, never mind the fact that there hadn’t been a fresh studio album since 1991’s Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II. Apart from all of that, however, it got usually positive reviews.
Bigger point to note, the fans consumed it up. The album ranked no 1 on a host of charts around the world and became platinum in multiple territories.
Sure, that might have consisted a few purchases based on the pure excitement, but it has shown that even after a looooong 17 year wait and dare we say, a miserable recording and production process, Guns N’ Roses were still more than strong enough to catch the imagination of the music-buying public, never mind the die-hard fans.
To be honest, we have no idea when it is out. 2014, 2017, 2019, 2022 bla bla and it goes on. Except for the band, no one really has a sniff of it.
So let’s just wait because these men know their thing, okay? We all are really detested waiting but alas, what choice are we left with? Maybe listen to some of the classics in the meantime.
