With the announcement of Android 10, Google also released a new version of its mobile operating system to Android Open Source Project (AOSP). This allows OEMs and other developers to build their own version and test customizations. The third-party ROM based on Android 10 for the M1 became available only two days after Google released it on AOSP.
Availability to a broader scope
These custom-ROM builds are expected to bring support for more devices. Expected to deliver nearly stable without any major bugs, these ROMS are in fact newly being offered by other developers.
