The film city of Mumbai is the most hard-hit part of India in terms of coronavirus cases. Bollywood’s biggest stars have been infected with COVID-19 as reported across the weekend. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is currently in a stable condition and isolated in the Nanavati Hospital. He and his son Abhishek Bachchan were tested positive on Saturday evening. The very next day, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aradhya Bachchan also tested positive.
According to a statement from the hospital, Amitabh Bachchan was admitted with mild symptoms. On Monday, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) declared the residence of Mr. Bachchan a containment zone. The staff members were also tested for coronavirus, but their results are negative. Both Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan were visiting a recording studio for work. The office has also been sanitized.
BMC has screened all the employees at the studio, and they had no symptoms. However, they have been asked to home quarantine in case they were asymptomatic.
Amitabh Bachchan is the living legend who has worked for more than 50 years in the Bollywood. With over 180 films in his career, he is considered the greatest actor in India. He started starring in movies from 1969. Since then, the man has dominated Bollywood.
On Sunday, senior Bachchan tweeted about his health and thanked his well-wishers. Tributes were sent to all members of the family. From veteran actor Paresh Rawal to Bollywood’s leading man Akshay Kumar, everyone has been sending the family love and care.

India coronavirus cases
India is currently in the worst possible phase of coronavirus. In the last 24 hours, there have been more than 30,000 positive tests and the highest single-day spike as of now. It is the third-worst hit country to the virus following the United States and Brazil. The number of cases right now is 939,192, out of which 593,198 have recovered and 24,327 have died. The number of active cases is 321,667. The spike has pushed Bengaluru city to lockdown for a week, containment zones are restricted areas across other parts of the country.
