Chandler Powell and Bindi Irwin can hear the wedding bells ringing.
The professional wakeboarder, 22, revealed his excitement over his upcoming nuptials with fiancée Bindi Irwin in a social media post during the weekend.
“Cannot wait to ‘meer-y’ this girl @australiazoo next year💛,” with an emoji expressing his deep love towards her. Chandler Powell also wrote as he posted the adorable shot, referencing the Meerkat on his shoulder.
Bindi Irwin, 21, and Chandler Powell exchanged the rings in late July after over six years of dating. The couple first got acquainted in 2013 when he made a visit to the Irwin-owned Australian Zoo.
Now that the soon to be married has found her wedding dress, she can mark ‘checked’ on another thing on her wedding planning list, which her younger brother Robert recently told that she has been carefully keeping since getting engaged.
“Bindi is indulged in the planning mode, she is stunning,” revealed Robert, 15, in a recent interview with Access. “She has managed to collect all the color-coded binders.”
“Rescuing the world and planning a wedding,” Bindi chimed in with a smile. “It’s tough! [But] it’s a healthy balance”.
After Bindi accepted the love and told yes to Powell’s proposal in July, she revealed to the PEOPLE in an exclusive conversation, “I am beyond joyous to be sharing the news that Chandler and I are engaged! This has been the happiest day celebrating my 21st birthday.”
