With so many superhero films and TV series, what’s the thing that makes DC’s ‘Titans’ stand out?
Perhaps, a scene from the pilot episode will explain it all. Every superhero fan sat up and took notice when Robin, Batman’s side-kick throughout comic and movie history, bitterly says, “F*** Batman!” And from there, DC introduced us to a new breed of superheroes who were fully capable of saving the world from dire threats, without any assistance from the big names.
The first season premiered on the DC Universe streaming service last October.
And the fans started pestering DC for the next season immediately.
Here’s what we know so far about season 2 of ‘Titans’:
The show was confirmed for a second season at the New York Comic Con by the series’ executive producer Geoff Johns, who also outlined that there would be a bunch of new characters coming in. ‘Titans’ season 2 will make its way to the small screen this fall. In all probability, the season will launch around the same time of the year it did in 2018 – mid-October.
All the old faces will return to reprise their roles such as
Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Anna Diop, Seamus Dever, Minka Kelly, and Alan Ritchson.
Connor Leslie, Curran Walters, Joshua Orpin round up the cast of ‘Titans’ season 2. Genevieve Angelson, best known for ‘House of Lies’, is also set to join the cast of Season 2.
Robert Ortiz returns as a producer while Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Greg Walker, and John Fawcett return as executive producers.
The trailer gives the fans our first look at the show’s latest additions such as Superboy, Ravager and Aqua lad and also a sneak peek of the Wonder Girl outfit. We also see Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne with Curran Walters returning as Jason Todd. Raven’s look has changed significantly from season 1 and she will be seen in a more comics-accurate form in the new season.
The trailer teases a time-jump and unveils the newest villain on the show: Deathstroke.
