‘DWTS’ This Season (Exclusive): Carrie Ann Inaba on How They’re Changing Things
Who would have thought that ‘Dancing With The Stars’ will come such a long way from where it started. With that being said, Dancing with the Stars is coming over with its 28th season on our screens. The biggest news we have from in there is that this time around there is going to be changed things.
No, we are not saying that! It was Carrie Ann Inaba, herself, who revealed such stuff and also explained briefly how they are changing things around.
She stated, “I do realize that we have made a few adjustments to the judging since we got a lot of complaints. We listened to what everyone said about what happened a year ago.”
So, the complaints and issues going on around made them approach the things n different ways this time around.

The first major change is that there will be no first-week elimination. Neither will there be any voting for the first week. This will lead to contestants getting more comfortable and used to the stage. Only the judge’s score will be considered.
For the next or second week, the judge’s score and live voting will be combined to declare the results. Only, live voting will be considered this time around.
Inaba said that she has only heard of the changes and will get to actually witness it when she gets to the set. She says that she is excited because they have a new stage along with the format changes now.
The celebrity pro dancer pairings will only be revealed during the premiere and not earlier than that. Carrie concluded with, “I like it better when I don’t know. I love to play along with the viewers at home. Because I want to feel like I can speak on their behalf when I’m judging.”
The season 28th premieres on the 16th of September, Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
