The survival horror game series ‘Dino Crisis’ has not been re-instated for more than 15 years is undeniable evidence that this society is beyond saving. However, some fans are keeping the torch burning, and through the magic of Unreal Engine 4, they have started working on an unofficial remake.
So far, Team Arklay has only released footage of some corridors, though they are mighty atmospheric for some empty rooms. Unfortunately, all the videos so far had been devoid of dinosaurs.
Team Arklay has finally released gameplay footage of their efforts that changes that.
The results are admittedly a little rough, and the T-Rex roar is shamelessly lifted from ‘Jurassic Park’.

But what is here should be more than a welcome surprise for fans of the Capcom series hoping that the series would officially get a new entry from Capcom. The video also introduces a new member of the developer team, composer Jon Rob.
No release date as of yet, but the team states that they’ll be uploading more for the project “soon”.
The Dino Crisis fan remake finally has dinosaurs. We got a look at the Unreal Engine 4 project back in July, but only some corridors and a very ominous security system. In the latest trailer, which you can watch above, it is starting to look more like a game instead of a map.
It is a work-in-progress, and there are a few oddities like the unreliable depth of field and the fact that Regina appears to be 7 feet tall, but it has come a long way in the last couple of months. Expect more footage to be uploaded soon.
With the first game’s 20th-anniversary passing and nothing new insight, let us all hope that this is one fan-made game that gets finished. The Dinosaurs deserve it, too.
