The Dino Crisis fan remake finally has dinosaurs. We got a glimpse of the Unreal Engine 4 project back in July, but only some corridors and a very ominous security system. These past couples of months we’ve closely following a fan remake of Dino Crisis in Unreal Engine 4. And today, we are happy to present to you its first gameplay trailer. Hence, without further ado, here’s the first fan remake gameplay trailer of the Dino Crisis.

Different yet similar

The team that is working on this fan remake is called “team Arklay”. The game will be using an over-the-shoulder third-person perspective and promises to be similar to Resident Evil 2 Remake. In other words, the team will create new 3D environments that will resemble those of the first Dino Crisis game.

Interesting to see

This first gameplay trailer showcases some of the early environments, as well as Regina and the raptors. It will also give you an idea of its gameplay mechanics and changes that its new third-person perspective brings to the table. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether Capcom will allow the team to finish this project or not.

Here’s to wishes becoming reality

With the first game’s 20th-anniversary passing and nothing new insight, fans around the globe are really hoping this is one fan game that gets finished. The Dinosaurs deserve it, too. It’s a work-in-progress, and there are a few oddities like the wonky depth of field and the fact that Regina appears to be 7 feet tall, but it’s come a long way in the last couple of months. You can expect more footage to be uploaded soon.
