Ahead of their new album release Hatebreed celebrated Valentine’s with a treat for its fans. The metalcore band released a new single ‘When the Blade Drops’ on the 14th of February. The anthemic single was the first song to come in four years.
The last album of Hatebreed, The Concrete Confessional was released in 2016. Thus the new Valentine’s release came as a pleasant surprise to the Hatebreed fans.
Jamey Jasta said in a statement that the ‘When the Blade Drops’ is only a taste of what is going to come. He further added that they are going hard on the latest album.
Hatebreed has completed their work on their upcoming album but the Valentine’s Day standalone piece by the band will not be a part of their latest album. The song can be streamed on YouTube, Spotify and all other major music streaming platforms on the internet.
Nuclear Blast announced the song by saying that love is not the only thing to celebrate this year on Valentine’s before saying the new song from Hatebreed is out now.
Jamey said that this piece is the explosion of what their fans expect from them, speed, intensity, and brutality is displayed on this song. He is excited to play the piece in front of a live audience and witness their excitement.
According to a Press Release, Hatebreed on Spotify has been streamed over 42 million times. The band is set for their next tour to Europe with Parkway Drive and then to Australia with Every Time I Die along with Parkway Drive.
The spring tour begins in April and ends in June, the tour dates have already been released and can be seen on their official Instagram profiles.
Jason and company will also be seen at the LAUNCH Music Conference and Festival. The band has already announced to their fans that they will be present at the festival to be held in Downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania on the 2nd of May, Saturday.
