This week’s Galveston Island Humane Society’s pets of the week are Rudolph and Lizzy.
Hi, I’m Rudolph, a friendly orange and white fellow in search of a place to live.

Currently, I am at the shelter in the Community Cat room where I lounge and play with my adult cat friends. Prior to that, I temporarily resided at Home Depot.

The nice people there brought me to the shelter as a stray “feral” cat. Quite the contrary, I’m far from feral and was probably just dumped there.

I love everyone and everything. I am about 4 years old and nice and healthy now that I’m here, and quite handsome, too. Come see for yourself and adopt me!

I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Lizzy. I’m a golden beauty that sadly was brought into the shelter as a stray and even though it’s obvious I did have a human and was cared for, no one ever came looking for me.

I am 2 years old and a pit/lab mix. I am INCREDIBLY loving, I know basic commands and I get along great with other dogs and children.

I walk well on a leash but I am very strong and sometimes tend to pull. After a good walk, I turn into a couch potato and want nothing more than to snuggle up with my human.

Don’t let my slightly large butterball appearance discourage you, I am a big sweetheart. If you’re looking for love, look no further I’m here!

October is one of our busiest months for events. Keep an eye on our website calendar for details!

Adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, current vaccinations, and a month of pet insurance. These featured pets have an adoption sponsor allowing the adoption fee of $25 for this week only.
