The Addition Company announces an all-new fundraising event to help save coastal communities by Living Seawalls. They are currently starting with pilot projects in Miami, USA and Oaxaca, Mexico.
The Addition Company was launched in 2020 to address the rising sea-level change through technological innovation. In the next 20 years, 507 cities worldwide will be at risk from rising sea-levels, which are already resulting in more frequent and intense storms and flooding.
The Addition Company has developed living seawalls through a convergence of 3 technologies: 3D Printing, material science, and sensor technology. These living seawalls are shaped like coral reefs and have embedded sensors to track live water quality data and forecast natural disasters. The seawalls are reinforced with recycled marine plastics and are exponentially cheaper, faster to construct and long-lasting than anything available in the market.

What do they need?
The Addition Company is raising $850,000 to fund its pilot projects in Miami, USA and Oaxaca, Mexico. This raise will cover robots, transportation, materials, and labor. Once the proof of concept is complete, they will launch a platform where local contractors around the world will get access to printers, materials and free training.
