Pokémon Go has introduced a new update to its game where you can start collecting Pokémons from the fifth generation on the game.
You can do so simply by playing the game like before: catching them on your daily routes, raids and hatching the eggs. Gen 5’s three starters, Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott are the most iconic additions in the latest update. Niantic has posted the full list of new Pokémons on its website.
Pokémon’s gen 5 has a special chord with the USA. It was the first region to be based outside of Japan. The parent series Pokémon: Black and White were the first to take inspiration from any region outside of Japan.
