Released: "The King's Man" Trailer- Unveiling The Spy Agency's Original Members

20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for upcoming spy thriller The King’s Man, a prequel to the Kingsman films. The trailer reveals more of the story’s World War I setting, as well as a few glimpses of the movie’s evil villain Rasputin, played by Rhys Ifans.

In the clip, Ralph Fiennes plays the posh, highly skilled Duke of Oxford, a member of a secret organization that takes action “while governments wait for orders.”

He recruits a new member of the team, played by Harris Dickinson, and teaches him the art of fighting as well as how to use a new-fangled invention called a parachute. The action-packed trailer promises a lot of fights, explosions and some very well-tailored suits.

The plot of the moving-picture show is that “it could be an assortment of history’s tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to arrange a war to wipe out millions. Discover the origins of the terribly initial freelance administrative body within the King’s Man.”

A lot has happened since we’ve last had a new The King’s Man Trailer. Fox is now owned by Disney, despite the poor critical for Kingsman: The Secret Service, we have a third film.

Today 20th Century Fox has released the film’s Second UK Trailer, unveiling the founding members of the agency.

Colin Firth, Taron Egerton has stepped back with Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson stepping in. The film heads back to the formation of the first independent intelligence agency. Fiennes as the Duke of Oxford who creates The King’s Man.

As we’ve seen from the previous trailer Fiennes will be the mentor and Dickinson his first student. He’s no ordinary student, he’s Conrad Firth’s plays older version. The trailer highlights both in action, which has the trademark Matthew Vaughn style. Slick and Stylish, but will Vaughn deliver another memorable scene ala Church Scene.

Strangely the film does have resonance with what’s going on in the world. Over the top action, fun stuff, this trailer feels like Downton Abbey with spies.

The cast includes Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Bruhl, with Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance. The King’s Man will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from 14th February 2020.
