Android phones are being made by TCL for a while now. They do not get the fanfares of OEMs. It feels that the one time we talk about TCL is when they launch showy phones at their events. 2019 is being conducted this week and it again brings us to talk about TCL’s latest phone, the TCL Plex.
TCL company is recognized as the company behind the recent Blackberry and Alcatel phones. TCL Plex is like the debut phone that will establish their brand and give them a new name. It is priced at mid-range and has triple cameras at the back. It has two standout features which are FHD + LCD display.
They are also offering Alcatel devices and have released what they have to offer. The main back camera is a 48MP Sony sensor. Accompanying it, there are cameras with a 16MP wide-angle lens along with a 2MP camera which is basically for low light photography.

TCL says that the Plex has an industry that is leading in a 2.9μm big pixel low-light sensor. Super night mode has also been included for dark shots. They are desperately competing with the Pixel 3a’s Night Sight.
The phone has a display of 6.53 inches. It has a front camera of 24 MP with a hole punched in the top right corner of the phone. TCL has talked up about the display quite a bit as it has already been making TV screens.
There is a mode called “NXTVISION” which is used for image processing when it is activated. There is a feature that converts SDR to HDR named “HDR-like” which includes video enhancements, 6-axis color enhancement, and more. It has a Snapdragon 675 processor with 6GB of RAM along with 128 GB of storage.
