Recently, a fashion house in the States came up with a bizarre and edgy idea for their new article and people find it absurd. The fashion house which goes by the name of Bstroy is inspired by dystopia.

The controversial hoodies are inspired by the mass school shooting that took place in the United States in the past. These hoodies were debuted as a part of the 2020 menswear collection. This new so-called fashion is a tad bit unusual and weird and also it seems like disrespecting the victims of the unfortunate happenings.

The public is quite mad at the fashion designers who thought that they could trend something that was sensitive to people’s emotions. The mass shootings not only left a scar in the victims and their extended family, but almost everyone who heard or witnessed the evil deed was affected in one way or another. In that case, is it actually fine for the designers to use the sentiments of the public to bring on a fashion article?

All we know is that a lot of people are criticizing them for their insensitive decision. A fellow classmate to the victims stated that his classmates should not be subjected to just a fashion statement. Words like ‘hurtful’, ‘wrong’, ‘disgusting’ and ‘disrespectful’ were used for the designers and creators.

The hoodies have the names of the schools that were victimized during the mass shootings.

In order to justify their irony, the creators released their statement. They said, “Sometimes life can be painfully ironic. Like the irony of dying violently in a place, you consider being a safe, controlled environment, like school. We are reminded all the time of life’s fragility, shortness, and unpredictability, yet we are also reminded of its infinite potential.”

New York Times has featured both the designers for their ‘innovative’ design.
