The new season of ‘ Westworld ‘ ( the third one already ) has finished filming this 2019, starting in the month of March, although we will not be able to see the result until 2020, according to those responsible for the series.

The fiction of HBO, which captivated everyone during its first season, but which lost many followers in its second round of episodes, will have a third season shorter than the previous two, but with several novelties.

Based on the movie ‘ Metal Souls ‘, starring Yul Brynner and written and directed by Michael Crichton, HBO wanted it to be his new’ Game of Thrones’, but the shadow of the Benioff & Weiss series is very long, so ‘ Westworld ‘ended up being another type of series. Now the date of his season 3 is approaching.

Ford explained to us there by the end of season 1 that Arnold’s great finding was to discover that consciousness cannot be reached at the top of a pyramid, but that it is something circular, like a maze. Both the first and second seasons have followed that structure. In the first installment, the robots reached awareness, awakening.

In the second they left for the search for freedom, whatever that is, and tried to reach the center of the maze. As if forcing the viewer to pursue that labyrinth of memories and realities, both seasons have been a real puzzle full of deception, revelations and unexpected connections. Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan have forced us very intelligently (to the despair of some) to follow the intellectual game with the same rules as their hosts.

But Bernard (Jeffrey Wright), Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), Ford (Anthony Hopkins) and the Forge’s own intelligence discovered that freedom is an illusion, that even humans are quite predictable and that free will is more an illusion egocentric than a reality. The maze is over, the park is over. In the third season, the hosts will try to survive in the world of humans. And it is clear that there are two teams that act, in addition, in the same way as those of Magneto and Professor Xavier in X-Men.
