Almost two years have passed since what happened at the cyborg amusement park was last seen. With the premiere of the new episodes just around the corner, fans seem to be having trouble remembering what happened between this break.
Fortunately, one of the actresses involved with the project has good news. This is Tessa Thompson, who recently said that in the third season of Westworld, it will seem like it all starts again.
The premiere of the new season was recently held at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles and during the event, Thompson spoke to Variety about what could happen when exploring new identities for the characters and for the series itself:
“It’s weird, but in a way, it feels like we’re releasing the show again because we’ve entered the real world and the question of what it means to be human is still being asked, but at the same time we are presented with a lot of new questions.
We have new people joining the cast, so it feels like we’re starting again. It is a program that not only surprises the audience but also those who work on it. ”
With the decision to bring the plot to the real world, creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy had the opportunity to showcase everything humans can offer and do. This is what the creative said:
In its first seasons, the series offered a very unclear look at humans. Now we can ask ourselves if humanity really is as we have seen it represented by park goers. If Dolores, Maeve and the rest of the hosts have only lived with the people who go to Westworld, is that really all people have? ”
Likewise, he took the opportunity to talk about the new cast members, such as Aaron Paul, who will be someone “isolated from society, someone, who feels more comfortable in the presence of hosts than humans.”
