If you have ever wanted to be physically in the world of The Walking Dead surrounded by zombies, you’re about to get your wish.
A division of Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, Skydance Interactive has announced that they are working on a VR Walking Dead game called The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, the very first Walking Dead virtual reality game you will be able to play at home.
Before you look away at the thought of another Walking Dead game (and a VR title to boot), consider that there are a couple of interesting things about the title that sets it apart from other spectacular recent Walking Dead titles.
First off, while this may look like another zombie Virtual reality shooter, but it turns out that this is way more than an action game. Based on some early previews of the title, it actually appears that this is very similar to a survival horror game with an emphasis on the survival aspect.
You will have to manage craft items, resources, and even utilize a variety of combat techniques in order to effectively work your way through the zombie hordes.
Set in the flooded remains of New Orleans, the game will challenge the players to make their way through the iconic quarters, as they explore what has become a very brutal, unforgiving wasteland.
Players will have to deal with other players struggling to survive in what remains of this once vibrant city. In the world of The Walking Dead, the walkers (zombies) are the least of your problems.
The other thing that is worth noting about this game is that it is the first major Walking Dead title developed by Skybound.
Will you choose the path of a sinner or that of a saint? Get ready to live, watch and play in the world of The Walking Dead.
We will see if that’s what happens when The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners releases for PC VR platforms on January 23, 2020.
