J.T., an Oklahoma native, has been known for his massive lymphedema on his leg that weighs over 100 pounds. When he starts his weight loss journey, his total weight is around 892 Lb.
When he first went to Houston to seek out the care of a celebrity bariatric surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, he is one of the most substantial patients ever feature on My 600 Lb Life, who weighed nearly 900 pounds.

In Season 8 Episode 4, titled “J.T.’s Story,” J.T. is almost 900 lbs having 100-lb lymphedema mass on his leg. He was so addicted to food that it is bound to kill him if he doesn’t change. His girlfriend takes him to Houston, but due to his behavior, J.T. is left with only Dr. Now to help.”
J.T. is 32-years-old and has was not employed since he hit 700 pounds at the age of 25 since he couldn’t physically stand upright. He notes that food is his only source of comfort, and he doesn’t shy away from the seriousness of his addiction.

He says that nothing in my life can compete with how food makes me feel.
During tonight’s episode, he shares that eating is better than sex for him, and every time he takes a bite, it’s like a feeling of getting into another world. He later adds that he can’t imagine his life without it because it is his life. He says that if he is awake, he will be eating or wait to eat, and if he is sleeping, he will be dreaming of food.
J.T.’s girlfriend Jessica helps in taking care of the reality star, and every time she makes sure he is well-fed in the process as J.T. is very forthcoming about his serious food addiction. His girlfriend does what she can to make sure he is fed and happy.
However, she eventually gets frustrated up with his behavior and breaks up with J.T. later on in the episode.
