El Chapo’s noted assassin has been found dead in her lover’s bed under mysterious circumstances.
Claudia Ochoa Felix – touted as the ‘Kim Kardashian of organized crime’ – was reportedly the leader of an assassin sector of the high-ranking Sinaloa cartel, earlier headed by Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán before the US extradited him.
The brunette assassin is also known to many mas ‘Emperatriz de Los Antrax’, which translates to ‘Anthrax Empress’.
She was discovered dead in a house in Isla Musala in the town of Culiacan in the north-western Mexican state of Sinaloa.
According to the local reports, the 35-year-old woman passed away during the night of an apparent pulmonary aspiration.
However, it is not yet sure if she was the victim of foul play or whether it was an accidental death.
Aspiration happens when someone breaths foreign objects such as fluids into their lungs, which results in choking and death.
Reports revealed that she was sent at a nightclub in the city and returned to a man’s house later that night.
Felix is said to have to take the reigns over Los Antrax after its head (and her lover), Jose Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboa, was arrested in 2014, Fox News previously has reported.
On her side, Ochoa Felix has often rejected the claims of being part of the hit squad, ranting about the Mexican media via Twitter and Facebook for their “lies” and “slander.” Reports also often claimed that she was engaged to a drug trafficker with the Sinaloa Cartel nicknamed ‘El Chavo Felix’. She is also reported to have 3 children in that association.
Prosecutor Juan Jose Rios Estavillo revealed that spirit and other substances were discovered in Ochoa Felix’s body and that the initial finding is that she died of suffocation.
However, the complete autopsy results are still pending and the investigation is already underway.
