The eight episodes of the first season of “I Am Not Okay with This” are available on Netflix since February 26, 2020.
The series revolves around the life of a 17-year-old girl who deals with school, conflicts with her mother, the crush she feels for her best friend, and other problems typical of his age. Filming for “I Am Not Okay with This” began in Pittsburgh in June 2019. While the city of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, served as the central location, the Wilmerding Westinghouse Arts Academy was used as the exterior of the high school.
The new series is directed by Jonathan Entwistle, responsible for adapting another Forsman book, “The End of the F * ing World,” and has a cast of Sophia Lillins (“It”), Wyatt Oleff (“It”), Sofia Bryant (“The Good Wife,” “The Code”), Kathleen Rose Perkins, Aidan Wojtak-Hissong (“Falling Water”) and Richard Ellis (“Should I Do It?”).
