Star Trek’s Discovery Season 3 Will Be More Optimistic, Says ‘Jonathan Frakes’


According to Jonathan Frakes, Sart Trek fans can breathe a sigh of relief as they can expect the traditional Star Trek optimism in Star Trek’s Discovery Season 3. During Fan Expo Canada, Frakes told the fans that the Star Trek’s Discovery Season 3 will hold optimism as they move forward.

Frakes said that they has gotten themselves out of the Mirror Universe… After Gene died, some of the writers decided that Deep Space Nine should maybe take a different tone, which, I think, it did to a certain amount of success. ” he also adds that to make drama, conflict needs to exist.

He also tells that the character has come out of the Mirror Universe. The next season will hold Michelle Paradise as co-showrunner along with co-creator Alex Kurtzman. Michelle had joined them during season 2 but her work and her knowledge regarding the series have been unquestionable. They hold pride in working with her as she also instills a new outlook in their work.


The season three will show 930 years ahead in the future as season two ended with the battle of Control. Once it airs, there is no coming back and the cast and crew will have to stay there. It is now being filmed in Toronto, Canada. It is dated to return to CBS with the new season in 2020.

Star Trek: Discovery is an American web television series which was first launched in 2017. It has, since then earned a rating of 7.4 on IMDb and 82% likes on Rotten Tomatoes. It has 29 episodes so far. Its genre includes science fiction, drama, and adventure. After Star Trek: Enterprise ended in 2005, this is the seventh series in the Star Trek series.
